This project is located in Niaosong, Kaohsiung, on a knife-shaped lot surrounded by roads on all four sides. Under these rare urban site conditions, we adopted 'Section as Generator' (using sectional composition as spatial logic) as our strategy, utilizing a central void combined with vertical staircases to form a vertical street that penetrates through three floors. Inspired by Steven Holl's advocacy of 'vertical circulation as spatial narrative,' the daily activities of going upstairs, returning to rooms, and crossing paths with family members become a flowing architectural theater. This is not merely vertical connection, but rather a construction of living interaction.

In our consideration of the 'event-space' relationship, we treat the activity requirements (cohabitation of humans and pets) as the core tension of the design. The backyard is set back to create spacious areas, and through transparent boundary walls, we blur the boundaries between private domain and street, allowing the building to form a gentle connection with the urban environment. The building is composed of simple white walls and deep window frames, corresponding to the site opening strategy, attempting to understand Le Corbusier's 'architecture of light' to form a clear and intimate natural experience.
