The post-pandemic era since 2020 has brought different perspectives on home design. With low building development density and an emphasis on natural purification, the design maintains front and back yard landscapes with vegetation. The 'home' is a relaxed and leisurely environment, starting with landscaping that incorporates the multi-layered forest concept using gravel, shrubs, and trees. The entrance, also called the dust-settling area, connects to a three-piece bathroom space, allowing opportunities to remove outdoor dust before entering the living room. The living, dining, and kitchen areas are where people spend the most time - the design aims to change the traditional separated living-dining layout through cooking methods and equipment arrangements, avoiding over-compartmentalization that leads to visual crowding. The daybed area features windows facing the backyard trees, allowing one to sense seasonal changes through the gaps while gradually calming the mind. This daybed area serves as the most flexible space for reading, resting, and storage. The double-height space connecting the 1st and 2nd floors links family interactions between levels, allowing the feeling of home to surround the joyful activities in the living room.
